Anthony Bourdain Insults Guy Fieri, Ina Garten, Adam Richman

Theyre not crying just cutting some onions! Anthony Bourdain whipped up some amazing, laugh-out-loud (did he really just say that!?) zingers about fellow celebrity chefs Guy Fieri, Ina Garten, and Adam Richman in a new interview with Atlanta magazine. Clearly not holding back, the Taste star rolled up his sleeves and dug in deep.

They’re not crying — just cutting some onions!

Bourdain first cut into Fieri’s eccentric kitchen attire as he discussed fatherhood. “The minute that you become a father, certain truths become immediately obvious to you,” the 59-year-old said. “The first second you see your daughter’s head corkscrew out of the womb and open her eyes, they are pretty much saying, ‘Lose the Ramones shirt.’ So I’ve made some adjustments in my life. (Bourdain and his wife, Ottavia Busia, welcomed daughter Ariane in April 2007.)

“I sort of feel in a heartfelt way for Guy [Fieri]. I wonder about him. He’s 52 years old and still rolling around in the flame outfit,” he added of the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star, whose age is actually 47. “What does he do? How does Guy Fieri de-douche?”

But the hits kept coming. Bourdain then moved along to Richman. The now-slimmed down Brooklyn native, 41, often ate stomach-turning, spicy, and huge portions of food while starring on Man v. Food. Now, he continues to chow down in Travel Channel’s Man Finds Food.

“Why did we watch that show?” Bourdain questioned.

Wait for it…

“Admit it,” he continued. “You wanted him to die.”

Bourdain went on to suggest that the program – popular in countries like Iran, Yemen, Libya, and Afghanistan – didn’t help how the rest of the world views America. “The show confirms their worst suspicions—that Americans are fat, lazy, slothful, [and] wasteful,” he said. “I know what [the viewer] is thinking, ‘America is a terrible place. I want to join ISIS.'”

Nonetheless, Bourdain did have some kind words to say about Garten. He gushed that he loves the Barefoot Contessa star, 67, and she’s “one of the few people on Food Network who can actually cook.” Kicking off his shoes at her Hamptons barn though? Not so much. (As loyal fans know, Garten loves to cook for her husband, Jeffrey.)

“I don’t want to live in her house. I don’t want to spend a weekend there. It gets weird in Ina Land,” Bourdain said. “‘Oh, when Jeffrey gets home, he’ll be so happy I made meatloaf.’ And then he comes home and you’re pretty sure he’s not into meatloaf.”
